• Overwhelm; have a strong emotional effect on, is the definition in the Webster Dictionary.

We are in times of great overwhelm, between the world of finance, real estate the new world of twitter, blogging affiliated marketing and more. Let’s not forget our families from our children to our parents.

This is the time the weak get stronger and the strong get educated in how to stay focused. Change can causes overwhelm or we can choose change to be exciting. However, the question still is how do we stay centered and not collapse into overwhelm

Breathe! it really works. Create a plan and stick to it. Set your priorities up and when a curve ball comes breathe. Exercise, take a walk, do yoga cardio, weight lifting, hiking, what ever moves your body and clears your mind.

Start noticing what time of day you get overwhelmed. Is it mid afternoon or early mornings, check it out so you can prepare for the overwhelm.

On step at a time. Identify the overwhelm and react with quietness, if just for a few moments.

Love to hear how you handle overwhelm. We are all here to help one another.

  • My dream has always been to have a company with all my friends participating. The criteria is good people with good energy. No toxicity and all for one and one for all.

Friends are important, they are the support system that is behind you. My dream has been to have a world class business with my friends. Abundance for all with lightness love and laughter. The work is intense and the rewards are play fun and wealth.

I’m so excited to be launching a new endeavor with the partnership of my friends. We are coming, the women with unlimited talent and energy. We are all coaches in different areas wanting to support the world in having their dreams come true. We are not women who sacrifice their life for others. We are women who live what we teach. Love joy prosperity and fun.

The radio show Unleashing Your Magic and Invisible conversation was just the beginning of creating magic and not letting my inner voice get in the way. I said knowing isn’t the answer living is. I am walking the talk with courage and a sense of humor.

My dream is coming true with the help of my friends.

  • When you look at your life is it what you care about? Look at where you live and what your life is about, Who are your friends, neighbors and world in which you play? Is this where you want to be?

You are at choice and can position yourself any way you want as long as you know what game you are in and how to succeed. Is where you are where you want to be?

How you show up and who you surround yourself with and where you live is a choice. The work is identifying what you care about, and practicing what ever you need to learn.

    This I know.

  • Bonnie and I finished our shopping in Chicago and it was great. We ran the gamut of discount stores to Neiman Marcus. I am looking great but more importantly I feel great and renewed.

Buying new things that support what I am up to in life makes a big difference. It is not only about the clothes it is about the time and money that I was willing to spend on me. The added advantage is I bumped into people I worked with years ago and they wanted me to work with them again. It will pay for what I spent plus renewing old relationships.

When you feel good about yourself your mood and emotions reflect it. Your body language shifts to self-esteem and pride and you are enrolling to others. While working very hard to be successful connecting outer-self to your inner-self is part of your package. If you work at home it reflects on your video, blog and telephone conversations. Inside Outside absolutely should be consistent.

The season is coming, clean out your closets, get rid of what doesn’t work and begin to create a non verbal conversation that represent how you want to show up in the world.

It matters, you matter, be an opening to people by putting your best foot forward, which includes of course the shoes you wear.

  • After shopping with Coach Bonnie and coming back to Chicago I am convinced that it is time for me to do an image seminar in Boulder. It is calling to me in every way. I have bumped into a numerous amount of old clients who are asking me for help. It is a new world out there for all of us who have home offices or work in a casual corporate environment. How are we suppose to show up. What are we projecting in cyberspace, over the phone or in person? Is our invisible conversation that it doesn’t matter how we present ourselves the truth.

Being conscious of our presentation is not shallow, a matter of fact it is very significant. We care how our products look, our web page, our blog, what we write and now it is time to go back to the basics and find out how we show up in the world. Are we projecting who we are or is our image detracting from our authenticity.

It is going to be in Boulder where I am educated through Generative Leadership courses. It is happening in late September so for those of you who want to join me in the world of representing who we are inside/outside let me know. It is my calling and I have heard my song.

May I share what just came to me through facebook: I have a sustainable product, read and see what I mean.

    Subject: Thank you
There are those times, moments, an opportunity when one takes the time to learn. Actually, sets aside time, and spends money to listen, and observe an expert within their field of expertise. The purpose to take the material garnered and use it as required for life time.

Marlene Green allowed me that opportunity in 1997. I am a professional with a desire to communicate effectively with each and every person I am in contact with in all ways. I was not as effective as I would have liked to have been…..

Clearly there was something missing between what I wanted to have happen and what was happening…. Marlene Green in her one day course helped me access that I am responsible for how I appear all the time. I wasn’t aware of the significance of my appearance before Marlene Green’s course, I am now.

Without spoiling the magic or Marlene’s program one needs to run, not walk to the nearest course and learn what Marlene offers…. There was an immediate increase in productivity, profitability and a complete alteration in the way others viewed me.

Thank you Marlene for teaching me tools that last a lifetime.

    Sincerely,

    Alan Rottman

  • I have been in the image business for over 20 years. I left it and began expanding my coaching to Leadership Presence as well as team building. I am building a very successful business but I still have this yearning to help people with their image. How do you show up in the world? What are the small subtle changes that make the difference.

Today I had lunch with a past client of mine who touched my soul deeply and I need to share with you the conversation that took place.

He remembered everything about my workshop from 10 years ago, and to this day uses what I taught him. I told him that 95% of the first 30 seconds is non verbal communication so make sure you know what you are communicating. We never discussed what he heard about himself what we discussed is how he profoundly learned that it matters how you show up in the world. It mattered that he felt nurtured and loved while he opened the door of finding out what image he projected.

I’m not sure why I gave up image work, I was up for Emmy’s for TV shows I worked in front of thousands of people on and off stage, I conducted seminars and took people shopping when needed. I loved making a difference to people but somehow that little voice in my head, The Invisible Conversation I had with myself was that image was not big enough. Image is shallow. I am here to say to you that I am ready to come back and help people show up in the world the way they were meant to be.

“Marlene you have given me a superlative, rare insight into how I come across to others, and whether that impression is consistent with my intention or inconsistent with my intention. Your effect on me and my presentation remains to this very day. Your exercises and drills work very effectively and is sustainable for years to come.” Scott Whitaker, Kellogg Northwestern University

  • If you haven’t read my last Blog I am on the way to buying a professional wardrobe at discount stores. A fabulous wardrobe with a budget in mind.

Bonnie just alerted me that she was on her way to pick me up to do more shopping. We both passed up a $12.00 hat and now we are sorry. It was perfect for the sun.

Have to go, I only have an hour to devote today to my image. Let you know how we did. I’m so excited to be the client.

Found the hats they were $2.00 more. Spent more time then one hour and it was worth it. My wardrobe is beginning to shape up. I feel good.

So much is happening when your up and feeling good.

  • Yesterday I experienced what it was like to be with a master coach. My dear friend Bonnie has not been trained as a coach, she is just a natural coach born and bred to be magnificent. Her talents are unlimited as a fund raiser, party planner, gardener, actor, wardrobe consultant as well as a person who creates abundance all around her. She brings joy to royalty as well as everyday people. Her mood is joy and love to all.

I am a talent developer as well as coach and image consultant. I have been on air as well as working with on air personalities. I create results for my clients and help develop their leadership presence. I know the most talented so when my dear friend Bonnie suggested that she takes me shopping for my new professional look I surrendered to her. She wanted to take the challeng to shop at discount stores and create a fabulous wardrobe on a budget. I wanted to do this so I can learn how to shop these stores for my clients and of course for myself. I also love to be with Bonnie because she is so much fun and talented. We shopped till we dropped. Actually I dropped Bonnie is still going.

I am writing about Bonnie because she deserves to be acknowledged publicly for all of her talents. Thank you Bonnie for sharing your talents with me and I believe we should all acknowledge our wonderful friends for their talents. We sometimes forget to do that. Thank you Bonnie and I will keep everyone posted when our excursion is done.

  • We do everything together. I live in a city that let’s dogs be part of the restaurants, movies, just about everything. We live in a community that everyone knows Benji and when he is good he is very good and when he is bad he is horrible.
Benji, has allergies, a bad knee, possibly an operation and is always into something. He is now on vitamins, allergy shots and anti biotic for the legions he gets when he has his break outs. I am starting to get nervous about all the medication he is on including, flea medicine as well as heart worm.
If you know an someone inbetween a Vet and holistic Doctor in the Miami area please let me know. I want the best for Benji and if he needs an operation I will have to give him one even if it is against my judgement. I don’t want to give him all this medication but I am not versed enough on taking care of my dog. To be honest I don’t have the time to learn about the care of an 8 year old poodle.
If you know of anything that isn’t extreme we are open to all possibilities. We need help.

  • We are all leaders however that does not mean we are effective. We can learn to be effective leaders if we are willing to be trained and open to new possibilities.

Leadership presence in ontological coaching is not only the words we use but how we hold our body moods and emotions.

Let’s do an experiment. In a seated position fold your hands, cross your legs and lean over until you are tight everywhere. Now say out-loud I am open and happy. See what happens? It is almost impossible to have your body constricted and feel good. Unfold your hands, legs and open your body and say I am in a terrible mood. Not easy! The body plays a big part in our presence for ourself and others.

“It is not what you say, it is how you say it” is the expression I heard when I was younger. In my coaching we say what mood are you expressing yourself. Is it a mood of resignation, ambition, openness, joy, it really does matter how we say something and it is even deeper when we are present to what mood we are saying it in.

Moods body and emotion play a very big part in leadership presence. Start checking yourself out and find out how you present yourself to the world.
